Wearing High Heels

High heels are hard to resist for most women. As a matter of fact, heels finish off every female's stylish outfit. But the cost of an attractive stature is sometimes bunions or fractures. All females ought to learn the art of walking around joyfully in high heels, wearing them as if they were an extension of their feet.

Wear them in. It is essential to break in your new heels. Before wearing a new pair of shoes out, wear them around the house for a few hours to break them in. Have a goal to walk, run and extend the leather of a pair of heels which is new. Wear them while doing household chores that would make you move around a lot. When they get too exhausted you can remove them, since you're at home. Shoes may take a while to feel comfortable so always carry a bandaid for an emergency. You should put them wherever the shoe is not comfortable, and realize that you have bought a poorly fitting pair of shoes.

Fasten your feet securely. Heels may look nice with pantyhose but this may be slippery so put on some thin ankle length socks that are the same color as your skin or shoes. This avoids having chafed areas or some pressure on your toes. Putting moisturizing lotion on feet is a good habit to have. Avoid putting it in between the toes. Select a product that contains both Vitamin E and Aloe, this will ensure that your skin will remain supple and soft to the touch.

Posture greatly affects this. While a heel that is thinner than others will provide you great looks it will also be difficult to stand in them for long periods of time. In order to walk correctly in heels balance is needed. Always stand up straight so that your arms are parallel to your body. Balance your arms at your sides to help keep your balance.
Walking heel down first is safer than walking toes first.

Walk without haste but with confidence. Start by wearing medium length heels (one or two inches), prior to your attempt to wear a towering pair of shoes. In time your body will become accustomed to the pressure your toes will feel. While alternating with flats, you can wear them with short periods of time. Increase the amount of time the shoes are worn each day. It has to be the right time. Because your weight is distributed differently when you wear high heels, wear them at least two or three times a week to help you get adjusted. Use them when you are dressing up say for dinner or when you won't be doing any strenuous activities.

The thought of wearing 'comfortable' heels isn't so unrealistic. There is no need to give up your fashion for function: the way you purchase your heels will play a role. All women can look stunning while wearing high heels. Heels become more comfortable over time as your body adapts to them.
